SOTT EXCLUSIVE: Must-read statement by Russian FM Sergey Lavrov

Behind this friendly exterior lies a Fawkesian force to be reckoned with!On the heels of the publication of President Putin's lengthy interview with ITAR-TASS (which rivals the 14-year-old First Personinterviews in terms of their scope and candidness), the Russian Foreign Ministry has published an important speech given by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the XXII Assembly of the Council on Foreign and Defence Policy, given last week.(Don't miss his TASS interview, either, given back in September.)

For those who have actually read his words or seen him speak, you'll know Lavrov is an intelligent man. He's also an expert diplomat -- always polite, always professional, always keeps his cool. So you can be sure there is a lot going on behind and between the words he says, both for him personally and those around him. Even then, based on what he does say, you can bet he leaves his Western 'colleagues' steaming.

And what does he say? Read on and see for yourself.

As far as I know, this year's Assembly will focus on prospects for accelerating domestic growth in Russia. There is no doubt that concerted efforts by our society as a whole to bring about comprehensive economic, social and spiritual development are a prerequisite for making Russia's future sustainable. That said, by virtue of my professional duties, I have to focus on foreign policy issues, which are still relevant for the Assembly's agenda, since in this interconnected, globalised world, isolating internal development from the outside world is impossible. Russia's President Vladimir Putin provided a detailed analysis of the international developments at the Valdai Club meeting in Sochi, as well as in his interviews during his trip to Asia. For this reason, I won't offer any conceptual observations, as everything has already been said. Nevertheless, I would like to share with you some considerations based on our day-to-day foreign policy efforts. It is not my intention to deliver a comprehensive or clear outlook, since at this stage all forecasts are provisional, no matter who makes them. Moreover, diplomats seek to influence developments as they unfold, not contemplate them.

Naturally, I will start with Ukraine. Long before the country was plunged into the crisis, there was a feeling in the air that Russia's relations with the EU and with the West were about to reach their moment of truth. It was clear that we could no longer continue to put issues in our relations on the back burner and that a choice had to be made between a genuine partnership or, as the saying goes, "breaking pots." It goes without saying that Russia opted for the former alternative, while unfortunately our Western partners settled for the latter, whether consciously or not. In fact, they went all out in Ukraine and supported extremists, thereby giving up their own principles of democratic regime change. What came out of it was an attempt to play chicken with Russia, to see who blinks first. As bullies say, they wanted to Russia to "chicken out" (I can't find a better word for it), to force us to swallow the humiliation of Russians and native speakers of Russian in Ukraine.

Honourable Leslie Gelb, whom you know all too well, wrote that Ukraine's Association Agreement with the EU had nothing to do with inviting Ukraine to join the EU and was aimed in the short term at preventing it from joining the Customs Union. This is what an impartial and unbiased person said. When they deliberately decided to go down the path of escalation in Ukraine, they forgot many things, and had a clear understanding of how such moves would be viewed in Russia. They forgot the advice of, say, Otto von Bismarck, who had said thatdisparaging the millions-strong great Russian people would be the biggest political mistake.

President Vladimir Putin said the other day that no one in history has yet managed to subjugate Russia to its influence. This is not an assessment, but a statement of fact. Yet such an attempt has been made to quench the thirst for expanding the geopolitical space under Western control, out of a mercantile fear to lose the spoils of what they across the Atlantic had persuaded themselves was the victory in the Cold War.

The plus of today's situation is that everything has clicked into its place and the calculus behind the West's actions has been revealed despite its professed readiness to build a security community, a common European home. To quote (singer/song-writer) Bulat Okudzhava, "The past is getting clearer and clearer." The clarity is becoming more tangible. Today our task is not only to sort out the past (although that must be done), but most importantly, to think about the future.

Talks about Russia's isolation do not merit serious discussion. I need hardly dwell on this before this audience. Of course, one can damage our economy, and damage is being done, but only by doing harm to those who are taking corresponding measures and, equally important, destroying the system of international economic relations, the principles on which it is based. Formerly, when sanctions were applied (I worked at the Russian mission to the UN at the time) our Western partners, when discussing the DPRK, Iran or other states, said that it was necessary to formulate the restrictions in such a way as to keep within humanitarian limits and not to cause damage to the social sphere and the economy, and to selectively target only the elite. Today everything is the other way around: Western leaders are publicly declaring that the sanctions should destroy the economy and trigger popular protests. So, as regards the conceptual approach to the use of coercive measures the West unequivocally demonstrates that it does not merely seek to change Russian policy (which in itself is illusory), but it seeks to change the regime -- and practically nobody denies this.

President Vladimir Putin, speaking with journalists recently, said that today's Western leaders have a limited planning horizon. Indeed, it is dangerous when decisions on key problems of the development of the world and humankind as a whole are taken on the basis of short electoral cycles: in the United States the cycle is two years and each time one has to think of or do something to win votes. This is the negative side of the democratic process, but we cannot afford to ignore it.

We cannot accept the logic when we are told to resign, relax and take it as a given that everyone has to suffer because there are elections in the United States every two years. This is just not right. We will not resign ourselves to this because the stakes are too high in the fight against terror, the threats of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and many bloody conflicts whose negative impact goes far beyond the framework of the corresponding states and regions. The wish to do something to gain unilateral advantages or to endear oneself to the electorate ahead of another election leads to chaos and confusion in international relations.

Not only that; they are psychopaths, and don't have the capacity for thinking in terms of long-term consequences. They live in the moment, no matter how destructive that moment may be.

We hear the daily repeated mantra that Washington is aware of its own exclusiveness and its duty to bear this burden, to lead the rest of the world. Rudyard Kipling spoke about "the white man's burden." I hope that this is not what drives Americans. The world today is not white or black, but multi-coloured and heterogeneous. Leadership in this world can be assured not by persuading oneself of one's exclusiveness and God-given duty to be responsible for everyone, but only by the ability and craft in forming a consensus. If the US partners committed their power to this goal, this would be priceless, and Russia would be actively helping them.

However, so far, US administrative resources still work only in the NATO framework, and then with substantial reservations, and its writ does not reach beyond the North Atlantic Alliance. One proof of this is the results of US attempts to make the world community follow its line in connection with the anti-Russian sanctions and principles. I have spoken about it more than once and we have ample proof of the fact that American ambassadors and envoys across the world seek meetings at the highest level to argue that the corresponding countries are obliged to punish Russia together with them or else face the consequences.

This is done with regard to all countries, including our closest allies (this speaks volumes about the kind of analysts Washington has). An overwhelming majority of the states with which we have a continuing dialogue without any restrictions and isolation, as you see, value Russia's independent role in the international arena. Not because they like it when somebody challenges the Americans, but because they realise that the world order will not be stable if nobody is allowed to speak his mind (although privately the overwhelming majority do express their opinion, but they do not want to do so publicly for fear of Washington's reprisals).

Many reasonable analysts understand that there is a widening gap between the global ambitions of the US Administration and the country's real potential. The world is changing and, as has always happened in history, at some point somebody's influence and power reach their peak and then somebody begins to develop still faster and more effectively. One should study history and proceed from realities. The seven developing economies headed by BRICS already have a bigger GDP than the Western G7. One should proceed from the facts of life, and not from a misconceived sense of one's own grandeur.

It has become fashionable to argue that Russia is waging a kind of "hybrid war" in Crimea and in Ukraine. It is an interesting term, but I would apply it above all to the United States and its war strategy - it is truly a hybrid war aimed not so much at defeating the enemy militarily as at changing the regimes in the states that pursue a policy Washington does not like. It is using financial and economic pressure, information attacks, using others on the perimeter of a corresponding state as proxies and of course information and ideological pressure through externally financed non-governmental organisations. Is it not a hybrid process and not what we call war? It would be interesting to discuss the concept of the hybrid war to see who is waging it and is it only about "little green men."

Apparently the toolkit of our US partners, who have become adept at using it, is much larger.

In attempting to establish their pre-eminence at a time when new economic, financial and political power centres are emerging, the Americans provoke counteraction in keeping with Newton's third law and contribute to the emergence of structures, mechanisms, and movements that seek alternatives to the American recipes for solving the pressing problems. I am not referring to anti-Americanism, still less about forming coalitions spearheaded against the United States, but only about the natural wish of a growing number of countries to secure their vital interests and do it the way they think right, and not what they are told "from across the pond." Nobody is going to play anti-US games just to spite the United States. We face attempts and facts of extra-territorial use of US legislation, the kidnapping of our citizens in spite of existing treaties with Washington whereby these issues are to be resolved through law enforcement and judicial bodies.

According to its doctrine of national security, the United States has the right to use force anywhere, anytime without necessarily asking the UN Security Council for approval. A coalition against the Islamic State was formed unbeknownst to the Security Council. I asked Secretary of State John Kerry why have not they gone to the UN Security Council for this.

He told me that if they did, they would have to somehow designate the status of Syria's President Bashar al-Assad. Of course, they had to because Syria is a sovereign state and still a member of the UN (no one excluded it from UN membership). The secretary of state said it was wrong because the United States is combating terrorism and the al-Assad regime is the most important factor that galvanises terrorists from around the world and acts as a magnet attracting them to this region in an attempt to overthrow the Syrian regime.

I believe this is perverse logic. If we are talking about precedents (the United States adheres to case law), it is worth remembering the chemical disarmament in Syria when the Assad regime was a completely legitimate partner of the United States, Russia, the OPCW and others. The Americans maintain talks with the Taliban as well. Whenever the United States has an opportunity to benefit from something, it acts quite pragmatically. I'm not sure why the ideologically-driven position took the upper hand this time and the United States chose to believe that Assad cannot be a partner. Perhaps, this is not so much an operation against the Islamic State as paving the way for toppling al-Assad under the guise of a counter-terrorist operation.

So far, those who are not guided by real problems, but rather by a desire to quickly grab things from freshly turned up ground. It is deplorable. Exporting revolutions - be they democratic, communist or others - never brings any good.

State, public and civilisational structures are actually disintegrating in the MENA region. The destructive energy released in the process can scorch states that are located far beyond this region. Terrorists (including the Islamic State) are claiming a national status. Moreover, they are already beginning to create quasi-governmental bodies there that engage in the administrative work.

On this backdrop, minorities, including Christians, are banished. In Europe, these issues are deemed not politically correct. They are ashamed when we invite them to do something about it together at the OSCE. They wonder why would we focus specifically on Christians? How is that special? The OSCE has held a series of events dedicated to keeping memories about the Holocaust and its victims alive. A few years ago, the OSCE started holding events against Islamophobia. We will be offering an analysis of the processes leading to Christianophobia.

On 4-5 December, OSCE ministerial meetings will be held in Basel, where we will present this proposal. The majority of EU member states elude this topic, because they are ashamed to talk about it. Just as they were ashamed to include in what was then the EU constitution drafted by Valery Giscard d'Estaing a phrase that Europe has Christian roots.

If you don't remember or respect your own roots and traditions, how would you respect the traditions and values of other people? This is straightforward logic. Comparing what's happening now in the Middle East to a period of religious wars in Europe, Israeli political scientist Avineri said that the current turmoil is unlikely to end with what the West means when it says "democratic reforms.

"They cannot respect their own traditions because their traditions and values have become an empty shell, an ideological mask to cover what they really are: psychopaths.

The Arab-Israeli conflict is dead in the water. It's hard to play on several boards at a time. The Americans are trying to accomplish this, but it doesn't work for them. In 2013, they took nine months to sort out the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. I will not go into the reasons, they are known, but they failed at this as well. Now, they asked for more time to try to achieve some progress before the end of 2014, so that the Palestinians wouldn't go to the UN and sign the Statute of the International Criminal Court, etc. Suddenly, it transpired that negotiations on Iran are underway. The US State Department dumped Palestine to focus on Iran.

US Secretary of State John Kerry and I agreed to talk on this subject some time soon. It's important to understand that you can't keep the problem of the Palestinian state deeply frozen forever. Failure to resolve it for nearly 70 years has been a major argument of those who recruit extremists in their ranks, "there's no justice: it was promised to create two states; the Jewish one was created, but they will never create an Arab state." Used on a hungry Arab street, these arguments sound quite plausible, and they start calling for a fight for justice using other methods.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the Valdai Club meeting in Sochi that we need a new version of interdependence. This was a very topical statement. The leading powers must return to the negotiating table and agree on a new framework that takes into account the basic legitimate interests of all the key parties (I can't tell you what it should be called, but it should be based on the UN Charter), to agree on reasonable self-imposed restrictions and collective risk management in a system of international relations underpinned by democratic values. Our Western partners promote respect for the rule of law, democracy and minority opinion within countries, while failing to stand up for the same values in international affairs. This leaves Russia as a pioneer in promoting democracy, justice and rule of international law. A new world order can only be polycentric and should reflect the diversity of cultures and civilisations in today's world.

You are aware of Russia's commitment to ensuring indivisibility of security in international affairs and holding it in international law. I won't elaborate on this.

I would like to support the point the SVOP has been making that Russia won't succeed in becoming a major, successful and confident power of the 21st century without developing its eastern regions. Sergei Karaganov was among the first to conceptualise this idea, and I fully agree. Taking Russia's relations with the Asia Pacific countries to a new level is an absolute priority. Russia worked along these lines at the Beijing APEC meeting and the G20 forum. We will continue moving in this direction in the new environment created by the upcoming launch of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) on 1 January 2015.

We have been treated as "subhumans." For over a decade, Russia has been trying to establish partnership ties with NATO through CSTO. These efforts were not just about putting NATO and CSTO "in the same league."As a matter of fact, CSTO is focused on catching drug dealers and illegal migrants around the Afghan border, and the North-Atlantic Treaty Organisation is the backbone of the international security forces, which, among other things, were tasked with fighting the terrorist threat and eliminating its financing schemes, which involve drug trafficking. We tried everything: we pleaded and then demanded real-time contact, so that once NATO detects a caravan transporting drugs and is unable to stop it, it alerts us across the border, so that this caravan could be intercepted by CSTO forces. They simply refused to talk to us. In private conversations, our NATO well-wishers (and I actually mean this in the positive way) told us that the alliance can't view CSTO as an equal partner for ideological reasons. Until recently, we saw the same condescending and arrogant attitude with respect to the Eurasian economic integration. And that despite the fact that countries intending to join the EAEU have much more in common in terms of their economies, history and culture than many EU members. This union is not about creating barriers with anyone. We always stress how open this union is expected to be. I strongly believe that it will make a significant contribution to building a bridge between Europe and Asia Pacific.

I can't fail to mention Russia's comprehensive partnership with China. Important bilateral decisions have been taken, paving the way to an energy alliance between Russia and China. But there's more to it. We can now even talk about the emerging technology alliance between the two countries. Russia's tandem with Beijing is a crucial factor for ensuring international stability and at least some balance in international affairs, as well as ensuring the rule of international law. We will make full use of our relations with India and Vietnam, Russia's strategic partners, as well as the ASEAN countries. We are also open to expanding cooperation with Japan, if our Japanese neighbours can look at their national interests and stop looking back at some overseas powers.

There is no doubt that the European Union is our largest collective partner. No one intends to "shoot himself in the foot" by renouncing cooperation with Europe, although it is now clear that business as usual is no longer an option. This is what our European partners are telling us, but neither do we want to operate the old way. They believed that Russia owed them something, while we want to be on an equal footing. For this reason, things will never be the same again. That said, I'm confident that we will be able to overcome this period, lessons will be learned and a new foundation for our relations will emerge.

The idea of creating a single economic and humanitarian space from Lisbon to Vladivostok can now be heard here and there and is gaining traction. Germany's Foreign Minister, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, has said publicly (while we have been saying it for a long time) that the EU and the EAEU should engage in dialogue. The statement President Vladimir Putin made in Brussels in January 2014, when he proposed the first step by launching negotiations on a free-trade zone between the EU and the Customs Union with an eye on 2020, is no longer viewed as something exotic. All of this has already become part of diplomacy and real politics. Although this is so far only a matter of discussion, I strongly believe that we will one day achieve what is called "the integration of integrations." This is one of the key topics we want to promote within the OSCE at the Ministerial Council in Basel. Russia is about to assume BRICS and SCO presidency. The two organisations will hold their summits in Ufa. These are very promising organisations for the new age. They are not blocks (especially BRICS), but groups where members share the same interests, representing countries from all continents that share common approaches regarding the future of the global economy, finance and politics.

How Close We Are To An All-Out War in Ukraine: NATO’s ‘Final Offensive’

How Close We Are To An All-Out War in Ukraine: NATO’s ‘Final Offensive’

Prof James Petras
Global Research
November 26th, 2014

There are clear signs that a major war is about to break out in Ukraine: A war actively promoted by the NATO regimes and supported by their allies and clients in Asia (Japan) and the Middle East (Saudi Arabia). The war over Ukraine will essentially run along the lines of a full-scale military offensive against the southeast Donbas region, targeting the breakaway ethnic Ukraine- Russian Peoples Republic of Donetsk and Lugansk, with the intention of deposing the democratically elected government, disarming the popular militias, killing the guerrilla resistance partisans and their mass base, dismantling the popular representative organizations and engaging in ethnic cleansing of millions of bilingual Ukraino-Russian citizens. NATO’s forthcoming military seizure of the Donbas region is a continuation and extension of its original violent putsch in Kiev, which overthrew an elected Ukrainian government in February 2014.

The Kiev junta and its newly ‘elected’ client rulers, and its NATO sponsors are intent on a major purge to consolidate the puppet Poroshenko’s dictatorial rule. The recent NATO-sponsored elections excluded several major political parties that had traditionally supported the country’s large ethnic minority populations, and was boycotted in the Donbas region. This sham election in Kiev set the tone for NATO’s next move toward converting Ukraine into one gigantic US multi-purpose military base aimed at the Russian heartland and into a neo-colony for German capital, supplying Berlin with grain and raw materials while serving as a captive market for German manufactured goods.

An intensifying war fever is sweeping the West; the consequences of this madness appear graver by the hour.

War Signs: The Propaganda and Sanctions Campaign, the G20 Summit and the Military Build Up
The official drum- beat for a widening conflict in Ukraine, spearheaded by the Kiev junta and its fascist militias, echoes in every Western mass media outlet, every day. Major mass media propaganda mills and government ‘spokesmen and women’ publish or announce new trumped-up accounts of growing Russian military threats to its neighbors and cross-border invasions into Ukraine. New Russian incursions are ‘reported’ from the Nordic borders and Baltic states to the Caucuses. The Swedish regime creates a new level of hysteria over a mysterious “Russian” submarine off the coast of Stockholm, which it never identifies or locates – let alone confirms the ‘sighting’. Estonia and Latvia claim Russian warplanes violated their air space without confirmation. Poland expels Russian “spies” without proof or witnesses. Provocative full-scale joint NATO-client state military exercises are taking place along Russia’s frontiers in the Baltic States, Poland, Romania and Ukraine.

NATO is sending vast arms shipments to the Kiev junta, along with “Special Forces” advisers and counter-insurgency experts in anticipation of a full-scale attack against the rebels in the Donbas.
The Kiev regime has never abided by the Minsk cease fire. According to the UN Human Rights office 13 people on average –mostly civilians –have been killed each day since the September cease fire. In eight weeks, the UN reports that 957 people have killed –overwhelmingly by Kiev’s armed forces.

The Kiev regime, in turn, has cut all basic social and public services to the Peoples’ Republics’, including electricity, fuel, civil service salaries, pensions, medical supplies, salaries for teachers and medical workers, municipal workers wages; banking and transport have been blockaded.

The strategy is to further strangle the economy, destroy the infrastructure, force an even greater mass exodus of destitute refugees from the densely populated cities across the border into Russia and then to launch massive air, missile, artillery and ground assaults on urban centers as well as rebel bases.

The Kiev junta has launched an all-out military mobilization in the Western regions, accompanied by rabid anti-Russian, anti-Eastern Orthodox indoctrination campaigns designed to attract the most violent far right chauvinist thugs and to incorporate the Nazi-style military brigades into the frontline shock troops. The cynical use of irregular fascist militias will ‘free’ NATO and Germany from any responsibility for the inevitable terror and atrocities in their campaign. This system of ‘plausible deniability’ mirrors the tactics of the German Nazis whose hordes of fascist Ukrainians and Ustashi Croats were notorious in their epoch of ethnic cleansing.

G20-plus-NATO: Support of the Kiev Blitz
To isolate and weaken resistance in the Donbas and guarantee the victory of the impending Kiev blitz, the EU and the US are intensifying their economic, military and diplomatic pressure on Russia to abandon the nascent peoples’ democracy in the south-east region of Ukraine, their principle ally.

Each and every escalation of economic sanctions against Russia is designed to weaken the capacity of the Donbas resistance fighters to defend their homes, towns and cities. Each and every Russian shipment of essential medical supplies and food to the besieged population evokes a new and more hysterical outburst – because it counters Kiev-NATO strategy of starving the partisans and their mass base into submission or provoking their flight to safety across the Russian border.

After suffering a series of defeats, the Kiev regime and its NATO strategists decided to sign a ‘peace protocol’, the so-called Minsk agreement, to halt the advance of the Donbas resistance into the southern regions and to protect its Kiev’s soldiers and militias holed-up in isolated pockets in the East. The Minsk agreement was designed to allow the Kiev junta to build up its military, re-organize its command and incorporate the disparate Nazi militias into its overall military forces in preparation for a ‘final offensive’. Kiev’s military build-up on the inside and NATO’s escalation of sanctions against Russia on the outside would be two sides of the same strategy: the success of a frontal attack on the democratic resistance of the Donbas basin depends on minimizing Russian military support through international sanctions.

NATO’s virulent hostility to Russian President Putin was on full display at the G20 meeting in Australia: NATO-linked presidents and prime ministers, especially Merkel, Obama, Cameron, Abbott, and Harper’s political threats and overt personal insults paralleled Kiev’s growing starvation blockade of the besieged rebels and population centers in the south-east. Both the G20’s economic threats against Russia and the diplomatic isolation of Putin and Kiev’s economic blockade are preludes to NATO’s Final Solution – the physical annihilation of all vestiges of Donbas resistance, popular democracy and cultural-economic ties with Russia.

Kiev depends on its NATO mentors to impose a new round of severe sanctions against Russia, especially if its planned invasion encounters a well armed and robust mass resistance bolstered by Russian support. NATO is counting on Kiev’s restored and newly supplied military capacity to effectively destroy the southeast centers of resistance.

NATO has decided on an ‘all-or-nothing campaign’: to seize all of Ukraine or, failing that, destroy the restive southeast, obliterate its population and productive capacity and engage in an all-out economic (and possibly shooting) war with Russia. Chancellor Angela Merkel is on board with this plan despite the complaints of German industrialists over their huge loss of export sales to Russia. President Hollande of France has signed on dismissing the complaints of trade unionists over the loss of thousands French jobs in the shipyards. Prime Minister David Cameron is eager for an economic war against Moscow, suggesting the bankers of the City of London find new channels to launder the illicit earnings of Russian oligarchs.

The Russian Response

Russian diplomats are desperate to find a compromise, which allows Ukraine’s ethnic Ukraine- Russian population in the southeast to retain some autonomy under a federation plan and regain influence within the ‘new’ post-putsch Ukraine. Russian military strategists have provided logistical and military aid to the resistance in order to avoid a repeat of the Odessa massacre of ethnic Russians by Ukrainian fascists on a massive scale. Above all, Russia cannot afford to have NATO-Nazi-Kiev military bases along its southern ‘underbelly’, imposing a blockade of the Crimea and forcing a mass exodus of ethnic Russians from the Donbas. Under Putin, the Russian government has tried to propose compromises allowing Western economic supremacy over Ukraine but without NATO military expansion and absorption by Kiev.

That policy of conciliation has repeatedly failed.

The democratically elected ‘compromise regime’ in Kiev was overthrown in February 2014 in a violent putsch, which installed a pro-NATO junta.

Kiev violated the Minsk agreement with impunity and encouragement from the NATO powers and Germany.

The recent G20 meeting in Australia featured a rabble-rousing chorus against President Putin. The crucial four-hour private meeting between Putin and Merkel turned into a fiasco when Germany parroted the NATO chorus.

Putin finally responded by expanding Russia’s air and ground troop preparedness along its borders while accelerating Moscow’s economic pivot to Asia.

Most important, President Putin has announced that Russia cannot stand by and allow the massacre of a whole people in the Donbas region.

Is Poroshenko’s forthcoming blitz against the people of southeast Ukraine designed to provoke a Russian response – to the humanitarian crisis? Will Russia confront the NATO-directed Kiev offensive and risk a total break with the West?

US Aid to Atrocities Committed by Ukraine National Guard Azov Battalion

If the Public only Knew – US Aid to Ukraine Monsters. Atrocities Committed by Ukraine National Guard Azov Battalion
By George Eliason

Ukraine War

Within a few days the Senate Foreign Relations Committee is going to meet with Ukraine’s best and brightest. They are coming to ask for money, weapons, and start lobbying for direct intervention. The thought that the halls of the US Congress can be sullied with this kind of people treading on its floors is beyond my imagination. You don’t need to care about Ukraine on this issue. American moral authority and the well being (electability) of some good Congressmen that only hear the propaganda might be at stake. Please take the time to read through and if this is not acceptable tell your Senator why.

A few days ago Vadim Troyan, a Battalion Azov deputy commander was appointed Kiev Oblast(Region) Police Chief. Azov Battalion is one of the punisher battalions responsible for rape, kidnapping, and murder of civilians across Donbass. Vadim Troyan has earned some of Ukraine’s highest medals in the process.

At their base city of Mariupol just during the month of October 2014 the police department had to report over 200 rapes committed by Azov and the Ukrainian National Guard in a public meeting held at the city police department. According to local residents in Mariupol which is a city of over 500,000; people are constantly going missing.

Young girls are being dragged away in broad daylight and some are never seen again. Azov battalion is taking men off the street that are never returned. In the last week of October twenty people were reported missing.

What is Azov Battalion
Interviewed Azov soldier admits torture on video english subs

Interviewed by Foreign Policy Magazine, Azov Battalion describe themselves as “people with a European identity fighting with Sovietness. But the ‘European identity’ to which Oleg Odnorozhenko (Azov ideologist) aspires is one estranged from mainstream European and American liberalism. The Azov Battalion, whose emblem also includes the ‘Black Sun’ occult symbol used by the Nazi SS, was founded by Andriy Biletsky, head of the neo-Nazi groups Social-National Assembly and Patriots of Ukraine.”

Maidan Democrats? Meet the New Nazi Government

Biletsky is also Arseni Yatsenyuk’s choice as a parliamentarian in Ukraine’s National Rada (Senate). In fact, all the supposedly democratic Euro-Maidan leaders have chosen radical neo nazi representatives for Senate seats. Biletsky has sworn he will drive a vote on Ukraine’s nuclear status. If successful, Ukraine will strive to develop nuclear arms. Sergey Melnichuk (battalion commander Aydar) was Oleg Lyashko’s choice for a Rada seat.

In the interview with Foreign Policy, the Azov commander Biletsky (now Ukrainian Senator) states:

“Unfortunately, among the Ukrainian people today there are a lot of ‘Russians’ (by their mentality, not their blood), ‘kikes,’ ‘Americans,’ ‘Europeans’ (of the democratic-liberal European Union), ‘Arabs,’ ‘Chinese’ and so forth, but there is not much specifically Ukrainian…It’s unclear how much time and effort will be needed to eradicate these dangerous viruses from our people.”

The battalion’s political platform supports the system of government devised by the Ukrainian nationalists of the 1930s and 1940s.

Really look at the description of a “Russian” and see if there is anything familiar here. American democracy is no different to them than Donbas people. This point needs to hit home in light of what they are doing.

Andrey Teeter

Andrey Teteruk the Commander of Myrotvorets (peacemaker) is also one of Yatsenyuks choices that is taking a Senate seat.

Andrei Teteruk who ran for lawmaker on People’s Front election list plans to attend parliamentary plenary meetings with weapons. “I hope I will not use it,” Teteruk said.

Myrotvorets (peacemaker battalion) is another punisher battalion. In Teteruk’s own words “ Peacemaker” is a police battalion. “Our task is to restore order in liberated settlements, clean from criminals, weapons. We did a good job in Dzerzhinsk; performed police functions, investigated, who supported separatists in the city.”

“I’m against solving problems by using weapons. With all that I’m a military man, run a military unit, but I was in Kosovo and saw the conflicts that were solved with weapons, it led to the fact that entire villages were cut out, from the oldest to the youngest. The war makes dirty both sides.”

Although honesty is a respectable quality every person in Donbass has been branded a separatist. Teteruk’s job as a punisher battalion commander is no different than the last part of his quote- to destroy entire villages from the oldest to the youngest.

Yuri Berea

Yuri Bereza is the Commander of Ihor Kolomoisky’s Dneipr 1. You guessed it Yuri Bereza is also now a Senator. What makes this clown a great pick for Maidan leaders to get behind is:

“Today, we are ready not just to defend [Ukraine], but to invade the Russian Federation, break into it with reconnaissance detachments and sabotage groups,” said Bereza.

Although I didn’t mention him by name I wrote about Bereza’s most notable accomplishment to date. In a hacked correspondence reacting to the remains of 37 civilians found in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukrainian Rada, Deputy Oleg Pankevich questions Igor Kolomoisky’s sanity. Kolomoisky, one of the leading Jewish leaders in Europe, has his own Dnipr Battalion in the Donbass war.

According to Kolimoisky’s assistant Boris Filatov, they are just Neo-nazi animals. Kolomoisky’s Dnipr battalion is replete with swastikas and Neo-nazi mercenaries from Ukraineand other countries. Among his more notable accomplishments, Kolimoisky funded and planned the Odessa Trade House Massacre last spring. Kolomoisky has a new Nazi problem. Of the 37 civilians that were found tortured, mutilated and killed in this instance, 19 were Jewish. Thats why Pankevich called it a mini-holocaust.

Yuri Bereza is a new Ukrainian Senator who now has medals for torture and murder of innocent people.

Semen Semenchenko

I have written extensively about Sementchenko’s Donbass Battalion. Sementchenko is also a new Ukrainian Senator. His battalion accused him of running when the fighting started. When they were under attack he refused to deliver weapons his men did not have. He told his deputy commander to leave because” they are just meat anyway.” Semenchenko’s battalion has been responsible for a lot of horror done to civilians in Donbass. This man is an animal.

UCCA Lobbying

The ultra-nationalist Ukrainian Congressional Committee of America (UCCA) has been lobbying the US Congress to give weapons to Ukraine. The men listed above are the representatives the Diaspora community chose as representative of their ideal of a Ukrainian nationalist in the mold of Stepan Bandera.

The United Nations (UN) recently released a report on the human rights situation in Ukraine, accusing the volunteer battalions of violating international humanitarian laws.

The date they chose falls on Ukraine Day celebrations to insure they get the turnout needed to show the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that these men deserve American dollars, weapons, and training.

This excerpt is from nationalist volunteer effort:

“As I’m sure you know, these three Magi are not only our lovely commanders of the volunteer battalions Donbas, Myrotvorets, and Dnipro-1, they are also newly-baked parliamentarians from Samopomich and Narodny Front. And they are in DC this week to meet with congressmen and military officials and talk about how to defend Ukraine. At this very moment, Russia is training a 30 000 army in the occupied eastern territories and stuffing the region with its weapons, and Semenchenko asks for OUR HELP!”

“Remember, Ukraine is not only defending itself, but also peace in Europe, and the alliance between the US and its biggest friend, Europe, as well as international law.”

Considering that they want the US to attack Russia, should we thank them now or later?

What else does the Ukrainian emigres want from the US Congress?

Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Voldymyr Ogrizko on Shuster Live (largest Ukrainian talk show): “‘Americans must be willing to die for Ukraine, because the former Soviet republic, fighting with Russia, defends the values of the Western world. And they are willing to die in Iraq or Afghanistan? If they are really talking about their values, they must be willing to die in Ukraine. Today we protect their valuables. This and our values. We protect their lives and their blood ,( He is talking about America )’ – said Ogryzko. He expressed the hope that the results of the elections in the US will bring Ukraine support.”

What Else Should the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Know?

Recently on the Ukrainian investigative program Groshi. which I was shocked to learn was still on the air after the coup did a program on prostitution in the Ukrainian army.

At first blush, I would agree that doesn’t sound like much except the commanders are forcing conscripts to act as prostitutes. The commanders are collecting 600 hryvna per outing and supposedly giving the conscript the equivalent of $4. Bear in mind that the conscript cannot refuse the order.

The conscript age in Ukraine is now 16 years old. Other soldiers or officers have their choice between a boy or a girl, man or woman. How is this not sanctioned rape within the armed forces? Will the US Congress support this?

To make matters worse for Kiev this backs up a story that would otherwise go unreported and therefore not investigated.

Oleg Lyashko Allegedly Rapes Young Soldier

A young soldier from the punisher battalion Shaktar (Miner) has tried to testify on video that the leader of the Radical Party of Ukraine, Rada MP, presidential runner up, and probably future president of Ukraine, tied, beat, and raped him. The website ukraina.ru carried the story. According to him he joined Shaktar to serve the motherland and the promise of good money. His work detail was logistics in the unit and keeping records.

The “Miner” cleansing Battalion soldier talked about how he was beaten and raped by the leader of the Radical Partyof Ukraine Oleg Lyashko. This was written on the website ukraina.ru. According to his story they tied him up and started gang raping him. He was given to Oleg Lyashko and Andrew Lozovoy who were looking for young boys.

In light of the Groshi story which ran on Ukrainian TV this needs to be investigated. This is the clip that was broadcast on Ukrainian TV.

Life in Mariupol under Azov Battalion
Sergey

In September a Mariupol resident “Sergey”wrote:

“I don’t want to go to war, but I will go if my family is harmed. I didn’t go to Referendum in May because I didn’t think it was that serious. I saw what Ukrainian Army did to Mariupol citizens on the 9 of May. I used to work back then. People with Ukrainian flags and stripes on their sleeves opened a fire on defenseless people. The people they shot were mostly elderly. This was at the Memorial Day to commemorate Mariupol’s Liberation from the Nazis.

“People began to run and hide where it was possible. Some of them ducked in the shops and a nearby hairdressing salon. In the city center the worst shooting occurred. I helped people to get to the hospital for free without any hesitation. I did five trips to the hospital and back. My car was full of blood. But that didn’t matter to me then. Now I hope that I saved some peoples lives.

“In spite of all this I didn’t go to the Referendum. I wanted to live in Novorossia, but I don’t know anyone who I can trust really. For several years I worked as a taxi driver, now I don’t. It is entirely dangerous. I am talking not only about losing your car, it is a common practice for soldiers to take away cars they like for their own use. If I am not mistaken, it is legal now. I am calling it dangerous because you can be shot, blown up or you can witness a crime the Ukrainian Army commits and killed for it. In July in the morning I was taking two young men from Melekino to Mariupol, and we were stopped at a blockpost by very rude young Ukrainian speaking soldiers.

“They asked to show us our passports. My passengers didn’t have any documents on them. So they were taken out of the car and soldiers beat them with the butts of their rifles. The soldiers shouted at those men and abased them. They made them get on their knees and threatened to kill them. I was left in the car. After about 20 minutes the soldiers let my passengers go. They promised to kill them next time if they did not have documents. Another time I saw one young woman that was grabbed out of her car. She was stopped at the Volodarskiy blockpost. She was about 25 or so. She was in jeans shorts and a sexy T-shirt. Soldiers began to flirt with her, invite her for a cup of coffee, but she refused and they grabbed her and threw her into a black car. I don’t know what happened later, but I can imagine.”

Ann, 42 years old in Mariupol said:

“I am shocked because of all those things which are happening. This war broke my life. I was looking forward to the referendum very much. I was happy to go there to vote for our freedom from this crazy country “Ukraine”. I realized after watching what was happening in Slavyansk in April and here in Mariupol on the 9th of May that fascist (Kiev)government wouldn’t let us go without bloodshed.

“I thought I was ready morally for war, but no, I couldn’t even imagine the horror of the ATO. We have to live, work, and study surrounded by heavy weapons.

“I remember one day when my 13-years old daughter was at school and I was at work. The skirmishes and firing began in the city. At the same time my daughter was supposed to come home, and I thought I would die while I didn’t hear her voice and she could tell me that she was ok.

“She saw a lot of armed people who shouted at several people to get on the ground. One of them was a woman. They pointed their guns at those people and all people near the soldiers. The traffic was blocked so my daughter came back home on foot. That happened in front of the tram station. After that I didn’t allow my daughter to go to school for days. I was afraid that she could be killed in one of those military operations. There are a lot of them now as because our town is occupied by Ukrainian mercenaries (Azov is has a foreign mercenary component). There are many more operations and these actions are more dangerous, bloody, and unprincipled.

“Battalions like “Azov” are especially fierce and brutal. They kill people, ruin their houses, steal everything from household appliances to clothes and jewelery. We don’t go out in the evenings. The streets are almost empty. I am afraid even at home because soldiers can break into citizens’ houses at any time they want. They have permission to do it from the Ukrainian government.

“I lost my job. I worked as a dermatologist and cosmetologist in one salon. Now it is closed and I don’t know how I will live with my daughter.

“Every day we see new units of APCs, tanks, and trucks loaded with soldiers in the town. We hear different gossip about bombing. Every day we prepare ourselves to die. It’s the worst nightmare. But I hope that it will be the end of this mess.”

Should Congress Support This?

Should the US Senate give a penny of American money to support these degenerates? When you understand the fact that the Ukrainian emigre community considers the men heroes that see you as Moskal? The UCCA taught these men their ideology. Most of the Senators and Congressmen that support nationalist Ukraine or listen to the ultra-nationalist UCCA lobby are not aware of what is going on. If you care about your congressman you need to let them know before they vote.

The money they appropriate will go directly into the murder of innocent people, torture, and rape.

Western News-Suppression about the Downing of MH-17 Malaysian Jet

Western News-Suppression about the Downing of MH-17 Malaysian Jet

By Eric Zuesse

November 15, 2014 "ICH" - The cause of the shooting-down of the Malaysian passenger plane MH-17 on July 17th (while that plane was flying over the conflict-zone during Ukraine’s civil war) is becoming clearer and clearer, despite the rigorous continuing attempts by Western ‘news’ media to cover it up and to hide from the public the evidence that clearly shows what brought down this airliner.

In the months since I headlined on August 24th the news, “MH-17 ‘Investigation’: Secret August 8th Agreement Seeps Out: Perpetrator of the Downing in Ukraine, of the Malaysian Airliner, Will Stay Hidden,” explaining why the leaders of Western nations want these black-box and other basic data to remain hidden, additional evidence has nonetheless become public, and all of it confirms and adds yet further details to the explanation that was first put forth by the retired German Lufthansa pilot Peter Haisenko, whose independent investigation had concluded that Ukrainian Government fighter-jets intentionally shot down this civilian plane.

Precisely how they did it is gradually becoming clearer, despite this continuation of Western secrecy regarding the contents of the black boxes, and of the U.S. satellite images, and of the Ukrainian air-traffic-control radar recordings, and of other evidence-sources that are held by the West and not made available to their ‘news’ media nor to anyone outside a tight official circle of those Western nations’ intelligence agencies.

Russia has thus been releasing its own investigations regarding MH-17; and, in the process, Russia is not only providing further details as to how the downing actually happened (it wasn’t by mistake, as the West contends it was), but they are also exposing the absurd impossibility of the Ukrainian Government’s ‘explanation’ of this event, which is the ‘explanation’ that is still being parroted unquestioningly and unflinchingly by officials in Washington, Europe, and NATO, and also by Western ‘news’ media. (As my news-report explained, that secret August 8th agreement was signed by the four governments that were handed the black boxes to study — Ukraine, Belgium, Australia, and Netherlands — and it granted to the Ukrainian Government a veto over anything that the team’s official report would say, which is probably the reason why the subsequent officially released report on those black boxes said essentially nothing. It was a brazen insult to the 298 victims’ families.)

Though Russia doesn’t possess those black boxes, they do possess, and they publicly reveal, evidence that’s conclusive on its own; and it is 100% consistent with Haisenko’s reconstruction of the event. Russian Television issued a 25-minute documentary recently on the event, and it starts with people whom they interviewed in that region, who were describing their having seen at least one and perhaps two planes rising toward the airliner, and then the airliner coming down from the sky. Other witnesses told them that they saw an SU-25 fighter plane take off in that general area just minutes before the airliner came down.

The BBC had previously posted to their website on 23 July 2014, just six days after the event itself, a news report in Russian via their Russian service, about the downing, but they quickly removed it without explanation. Fortunately, however, some Russian-speakers had managed to download it before it was yanked; and one of those downloads is still up at youtube, having been posted there on July 28th, with English subscripts, and with the headline, “UKRAINE Eyewitness Confirm Military Jet Flew Besides MH17 Airliner: BBC Censors Video 25Jul2014”. (Actually, there were several witnesses interviewed there, not just one “Eyewitness.”) Furthermore, Global Research posted on September 10th a transcript of it, headlining, “Deleted BBC Report. ‘Ukrainian Fighter Jet Shot Down MHI7’, Donetsk Eyewitnesses.” So, this valuable eyewitness-testimony to the event is available despite Western ‘news’ media (or propaganda-media), and the reason for the news-suppression is clear from anyone who views that BBC report, which presents several eyewitnesses, all of whom were interviewed separately as individuals, not as a group, and yet all of whose testimonies report having observed the very same basic narrative, of at least one military jet rising toward the airliner just before it came down. In other words: BBC had yanked this piece because it didn’t confirm the West’s story-line, which says that Ukrainian pro-Russian separatists fired a “Buk” ground-based missile at the airliner, thinking that the civilian plane was a Ukrainian Government war-plane about to bomb them and their families. But, first of all, the Ukrainian Government was virtually admitting there that they were bombing these villagers, which means that they were perpetrating an ethnic cleansing there, which indeed that Government was doing; but, secondly, the Ukrainian Government’s statement also acknowledged that if the event had happened in that way, it would have been unintentional, a tragic accident on the part of the rebels there. So, then, why did “the international community” respond with massive economic sanctions against Russia on account of this downing? The whole Western propaganda position was designed for a public of sheer fools, if not of outright psychopathic ones, who cared not a bit about the plights of the victims of an ethnic-cleansing campaign. The West’s basic storyline doesn’t make sense without recognizing that we are financing ethnic cleansing to clear the land in southeastern Ukraine, and that any support that Russia would be providing to those separatists would be defensive in nature, not offensive. Yet Russia gets the blame when this passenger jet goes down? In any case, that storyline is false, from start to finish.

Here is how outright ludicrous it actually is, and sound reason in itself that anyone in the military had to have known, from the very get-go, that the “Buk” ‘explanation’ was a line of pure malarkey:

The Russian documentary was titled, “MH-17: The Untold Story,” and it presents videos of several “Buk” missiles being fired. Here’s one:

That passage shows the missile, a 9K37 Buk SA-11 Gadfly, which is a bit longer than ten yards (30 feet) – this large (and certainly not inconspicuous) missile — being launched from its standard launch-base.

The documentary then notes:

And then this:

And then this:

And then this:

So, when even the BBC’s reporter wasn’t able to find anyone in that entire region who recounts having seen anything of the sort, just how likely would the Ukrainian Government’s line on that matter actually be? Obviously, any person with any military knowledge whatsoever had to have recognized virtually immediately that the Ukrainian Government’s story-line on the MH-17 downing was a pile of sheer malarkey, but did anyone in the Western ‘news’ media report that it was — that the Western line there was not just a lie, but an absurd one, one that requires an ignorant public in order for it to be able to be taken seriously at all by the public? One that requires an ignorant public, to remain ignorant? This is supposed to be the Western ‘news’ media, with a free press, and a democracy, a truthfully informed citizenry, who can vote based upon truths, not on mere lies?

Here is the way that the Russian TV documentary opens:

Several of the locals there told Russian TV’s reporter that they had seen a military jet rise toward the airliner; and not a one of these individuals were any of the same ones who had testified the exact same thing to the BBC’s reporter, whose news-piece had been squelched by her managers.

Now, to the substance of the explanation of how this plane was actually brought down:

Earlier, I summarized the evidence for Peter Haisenko’s reconstruction of the event, but I questioned his having accepted the eyewitness testimony to the effect that the planes that shot down the airliner were SU-25s. In Haisenko’s Russian TV interview, he sticks by his belief that it was probably SU-25s instead of SU-27s or Mig 29s, both of which are also in the Ukrainian Air Force, and all three of which use 30-millimeter machine-guns or “cannons.” But since the fact is that all three of those attack-plane models use machine-guns (“cannons”) with 30-caliber bullets (which is the size that clearly was used, especially on the cockpit), the effect would be identically-sized round 30-caliber entry-holes, no matter what. My last major report on that evidence was “Systematically Reconstructing the Shoot-Down of the Malaysian Airliner: The Guilt Is Clear and Damning.” That basically fills in (and the links in that report document with pictures and videos) the actual way that this plane was downed and why it was downed. Obama (via the regime that he had installed in a February 2014 coup in Kiev) succeeded there in getting the international sanctions against Russia that he had been wanting. Obama, not Putin, was behind this.

International actions are based upon such fabrications, and ‘evidence’ taken out of its full context, as this from the far-rightForbes commentator Paul Roderick Gregory, but there are no such fakes, nor out-of-context items of evidence, in the case that has been presented here. That’s the difference between news-reporting and propaganda; but, in the United States today, propaganda passes as if it were ‘news,’ and authentic news that doesn’t fit the regime’s cooked-up narrative is suppressed entirely.

Western governments, and their ‘news’ media, are treating their citizens, their own publics, not really as citizens, but as suckers. They are treating them as subjects, instead of as citizens. This is not authentic democracy. It is neo-feudal; it is, in fact, a sophisticated form of fascism.

The entire “Buk” ‘explanation’ of the downing of the Malaysian airliner is for suckers only; and everyone in official circles, and in the press, who peddles it, is just as fake as the ridiculous story-line that he or she is peddling. To fall for it, after being provided all of the authentic evidence, which has been linked to here, is to be a willing slave to psychopaths.

So, now we know why Western governments have hidden, instead of making available to the public, the black-box data and the other evidence that they still refuse to provide to the public. They are aiming to scam the public, not to inform it. Lying is their game. And they call it ‘patriotism.’ But, of course, they would! Traitors would do that. Traitors to any country would do it. And, so, they do.

Unfortunately, the people they fool become their tools, and everyone else are purely their victims — helpless to oust the tyrants who make things bad for everyone but themselves and their colleagues.

Moments before the crash "Boeing" near Donetsk - a unique frame in the analytical program "However"

11/14/2014
It has turned out to be a sensational Channel One shot, presumably made by a foreign spy satellite in the last seconds of flight ... More »

On the eve of a crucial meeting of world leaders - at the summit of "Big Twenty" in Australia - the theme of the investigation into the death of passengers of flight for more than relevant. Frame speaks in favor of the version that the West is almost sounded.
However, hello!
It is known that at the summit in Brisbane Australian Prime Abbott has threatened to ask our president sternly question of Malaysian "Boeing". Let's try to facilitate his task.
Back in August, Russian Union of Engineers published its report on possible causes of the disaster, then received fairly widespread in the media and on the Internet. Experts conducted a detailed analysis of all the available information from all sources, made technical calculations and elaborated version of the causes of death "Boeing".
Expert conclusion: the only technically possible version - the defeat of the Malaysian ship with rocket-cannon armament of another aircraft. We draw attention to one point in the report - the lack of any credible evidence launch missiles "ground-to-air." Start "Buck" is accompanied by a cloud of fire, a deafening roar, heard within a radius of 10 kilometers, and contrails, which is clearly seen in the sky up to 10 minutes.
In short, there was no likely no "Buck", no starting from the ground. In the presence of near disaster dozen professional observers from all sides and thousands of lay, no one has seen or recorded. And the planes have seen and recorded. And it was not exactly the Russian planes. Experts arguments were heard on the Internet report was translated into English and German.
"At the same time we began to receive large amounts of information, among which was a different material, engineering calculations, and ultimately the 12th, we got it here," - said the first vice-president of the Russian Union of Engineers Ivan Andrievsky.
"I fully agree with the results of your analysis of the causes of death" Boeing "- written by a man who introduced himself as a graduate of MIT, with twenty years experience aviaekspertom George Bilt. -" Boeing "was shot down by fighter jet to haunt him. At first, the crew fired the gun, then was struck by the cab missile "air-to-air", then the right engine and the right wing were amazed missile with thermal homing system. "
The picture, which clearly shows the launch from the left wing fighter exactly the cockpit, was attached to an email. On terrain, weather, aircraft shot dimension is fully consistent with the circumstances of the accident.
"We have seen in front of the cosmic picture taken with not very high orbit. And usually made such pictures General Intelligence air and ground space. According to the coordinates specified in the picture, we can assume that the picture was taken from the American or English satellite. We conducted a detailed analysis of this picture, and no signs of forgery is not revealed, "- said the first vice-president of the Russian Union of Engineers Ivan Andrievsky.
All versions should be considered, including the notorious "Beech". The man who sent a picture in which can be seen as the MiG-29 kills passenger "Boeing", whoever he was, of course, a professional. To forge such, requires even more professionalism than for access to such information. Gentlemen, you have these pictures!Or other! Present them at last! Hands on the table! Because at the moment there is every reason to believe that the government committed a crime by those who destroyed the aircraft deliberately and cynically. And those who deliberately and cynically hides it, having comprehensive information.
However, good-bye!

Investigators have begun to collect the debris of the crashed Boeing Malaysian

The collapse of the Malaysian Boeing 777 in Ukraine

Dutch experts have begun to collect debris Malaysian Boeing 777 that crashed near Donetsk. Experts intend to reconstruct a section of the aircraft to determine the cause of the disaster. To work started four days ago, but it had to be interrupted due to the discovery of new human remains. Investigators took them to Kharkov, and then sent to the Netherlands.
DEVELOPMENT OF THE THEMEAbout how there is, perhaps, the most difficult in the history of the world investigating air crashes, the correspondent "RG" talks with the Director General of the Advisory and analytical agency "Safety" Tony MelnichenkoSergey, aviation specialists are closely monitoring the investigation. What is the latest information?Tony Melnichenko: At the crash site until the collect small pieces of the aircraft. The issue of transport of large parts of the fuselage, wings, engines for some time postponed. Obviously, due to organizational reasons. Most likely, the fragments will be transported by rail to Kharkov and from there by plane to Amsterdam, where he will line layout Boeing debris.
Collect debris Malaysian aircraft started and immediately aborted due to discovery of new human remains. Photo:Michael Pochuev / TASS

This is what investigators usually do first, and not a few months after the crash?

Tony Melnichenko: Absolutely. Listens to and analyzes the audio recording of negotiations in the cockpit, as well as between pilots and controllers. Then he laid out a layout from the wreckage to determine which side was hit by an aircraft. Character set penetrating holes submunitions. It is said that in the bodies and the luggage was found about a half-dozen of the two fragments. If so, it's probably not difficult to determine which kind of weapons they belong.
EARLIER ONThere was hope that the investigation will move forward. After all, even a preliminary report on the investigation appeared not recommended by ICAO terms, and a little later.By the way, the report did not say anything about the metal fragments found in the bodies. How Come?Tony Melnichenko: It turned out absolutely toothless. Nevertheless, there is named the root cause of the event: Ukraine has not closed the airspace in an area where hostilities are. Responsibility in Ukraine will be in any case.Black boxes were intact. But their Allah are not made clear?Tony Melnichenko: I do not think. Experts are convinced that the destruction of the aircraft is very fast.Imagine, engines, navigation equipment, electrical system, everything works fine. Then - boom, and all entries expire. It is said that was destroyed wiring, cables that connect the flight data recorders to different systems - computer and power supply. All instantaneously. This means that the plane was not planned, but for the most part destroyed in the air.Has not previously been found dead 14-16. Now found all?

Tony Melnichenko: Hopefully. Although I do not know what could have remained four months in the sun, rain, wind. And most importantly - the bombing.

Dutch investigators have assumed that Boeing could be fired from another aircraft. And stated that the materials to determine the cause is lacking. What, for example?

Tony Melnichenko: Of the four versions of consequence prevent accidents and terrorist attacks.Identified two priority scenario: the plane could be shot down by missiles "ground-to-air" and it could shoot down other aircraft. Concluded that Boeing was shot down over Ukraine in the air by gunfire from a fighter, do many military analysts, including the US.

The preliminary report is a list of the materials used by investigators. This, for example, data on maintenance of the aircraft and on the implementation of the flight: notes (messages for pilots), flight plan, weather, the crew. This image in the public domain and satellite imagery. This data radar air traffic control services provided by UkSATSE, radar data provided by Russia. This data is a black box.

Damage from cannons or missiles on the wing fragments Boeing? Photo: RIA Novosti www.ria.ru

And why not military radio audio controllers with the pilots of combat aircraft? It is necessary to examine all the flight plans (planning table) Combat Aviation Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on the day of the tragedy, the records of all negotiations between dispatchers and flight director command post Uksatse and Mission Control Ministry of Defence ...

What is involved in the investigation takes ICAO?

Tony Melnichenko: So far, unfortunately, is insignificant. The preliminary report is written, ICAO advised by telephone investigators regarding procedural matters. Absurd! There are clear standards of ICAO investigation of accidents. There Annex 13 to the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation - a document of 4 volumes, which detail all. What advice? Let us recall the situation in 1983 when the Soviet Union shot down a Korean Boeing 747.

Then in Moscow arrived at the Kubinka airfield Secretary General of ICAO, personally conducted an experiment on knowledge of combat pilot signals interception of civil courts in English ...

Tony Melnichenko: Yes. And who led the investigation? ICAO, as an independent organization. And the investigation was conducted at the highest professional level. And no country had no desire for something to disagree with the results.

Russia insisted on an investigation of the tragedy of flight MN17 is ICAO?

Tony Melnichenko: Infuse. The Netherlands is neither the State of Occurrence (this Ukraine) or the State of Registry of the aircraft or State of the operator (in both cases is Malaysia). Nowhere in the ICAO documentation does not say that the investigation may carry out a country whose passengers were on board the most. I think the appointment of the Netherlands as the State responsible for the investigation - a compromise concluded rather politicians, not experts. But now the most important thing, as will carry out the investigation and what will be the role of ICAO in it.

You participated in various investigations. Tell us how the experts?

Tony Melnichenko: It is very hard work. We have to explore every detail, because it may be the main reason then. With advanced, and then the final report acquainted plenipotentiaries States. According to the rules of ICAO, States parties receive the draft final report within 60 days prior to its publication, so that in case of disagreement, to express their views. And this point of view should be reflected in the final report without edits!

How can last investigation?

Tony Melnichenko: On the recommendations of ICAO, from time to time events up to the final report should take a year. But history knows the crash, which occurred many years ago, but the investigation has not been completed so far. For a variety of reasons. We remember how the airline Air France has lost over the Atlantic plane A-330. He lay on the bottom. And the black boxes were able to get only two years later.

Commander of the Interior Troops DNR, Deputy Interior Minister Alexander Taranenko talked about conducting intelligence operations.

... It was April 25, Mariupol Yalta. We as a group of friends (there were only 5 people) on my Mazda "C grade" went to the side of Mariupol. From the locals we had information that were thrown near Yalta "Dill" BMP and T-64 tank, outposts of about 8 people. We decided to talk to this care, if possible, to disarm them and pick up the armor.

When we arrived there, there was not 8 people, and a battalion of 350-400 people. I sent two of his children to "zelenke" and the two men went to the farm.

I went up to the guard checkpoint, asked the head of the guard. Approached Lieutenant. Asked who they Sr., introduced himself, and asked the guard commander invite older, talk to me. I spent part by location, was brought into headquarters tent.

I was able to see about 10 pieces of equipment, not including KAMAZ, staff car and everything else, that is, the art was decent. There was a hodgepodge - and contractors, and conscripts, and "partisans" have something.

I was taken to headquarters tent, offered a cup of tea, and we had a "cute" conversation. In front of me was six senior officers, from captain to lieutenant colonel. I told them a condition: for two hours they lay down their arms and come quietly, and we customize buses, put them on buses and taken in the direction of Zaporozhye. The senior officer, a lieutenant colonel, very scared. He shook hands, eyes widened

They really thought that if comes to senior officer with the rank of lieutenant colonel, sits down and offers such conditions - they could not have thought that I was just bluffing. They thought that we really have a hundred people, maybe more. I said that I have four "Cuckoo" on the positions and proposed Lieutenant count how many shots sniper makes per minute. He was wrong, he said 56. I said, "Multiply by four." They quickly figured out that my four "Cuckoo" simply put all their fighters, and they began slight panic. Hands shook even more.

After that I went out of the territory. But I want to pay tribute to the company commander, he was also named Alexander, it felt real officer rod. He apologized to me and said: "Comrade Colonel, I perform the duty officer, my unit will not give up arms and will defend itself." I said, "Before taking any action, I always say to his men one thing you thought at first, and then make decisions." We parted on a good note.

But when we moved to their position (and the position was a machine that was in the field), with binoculars it was clearly evident that this unit began to occupy a defensive perimeter. Plus they have caused two turntables, Mi-24, we have started to turn over "carousel" to go in order of battle. We realized that our "focus" has failed, and decided to leave our "position".

We began to slowly go out of turntables, and when we went off the track, drove four APCs, I think, with riot police, my eyes stoned: the guys were sitting on the armor and twisted his head 180 degrees without holding the armor, apparently, was an army special forces. We quietly, calmly, without creating noise went from Yalta, returned to Donetsk.

Later went to the media information that a hundred separatists, led by Colonel "Berkut" Alexander attacked a military unit suffered heavy losses that "Dill" so selflessly fought against us, which was presented to the government for awards and cash awards. I personally saw it: on television played defense minister, then Turchinov was told what we have are valiant warriors Ukrainian. And in fact - we had only five people.

I loved as a child to read a book Dold-Mikhailik "And one soldier in the field" pro scouts. Here you can compare with our outing. Still, we were raised against a hundred times superior forces. We were just scared. And it really reflects the moral and morale of the Ukrainian army, "the warriors" which in case of danger immediately raise their hands up. They can be as much as necessary to shout that they are strong in spirit - but I would not say.

Because we know what we are fighting. We are fighting for their land. For their children, their wives, for the grandchildren. This is the land of our fathers and grandfathers.

That we "Dill" is not simple - it's Odessa, Slavyansk, Saur-grave, which almost destroyed. And though "Dill" shouted that they're defending, for twelve days - I would not say that they defended, they just hid. They said that they attacked the Russian special forces - and even if attacked by Russian special forces, they would be knocked out in an hour. Believe me, this is indeed the case.
