MOSCOW, February 22. / TASS /. American mixed martial arts fighter Jeff Monson Donbass donated his fee for the fight with Wladimir Nepochatova, which took place in the tournament "Hold 108". It is reported portal Blood and Sweat MMA.
"I fought not for the money. This is not the main purpose of my fight. All royalties from the fight I donate to people in the Donbass" - said Monson, who won this battle.
Monson is a popular athlete in Russia, where he enters the ring alternately against the brothers Alexander and Fedor Emelianenko, and also participated in several major tournaments.
On the body of an American athlete, has nicknamed "Snowman", there is a tattoo with the symbols of Russia, as well as with the words "freedom" and "solidarity".
American is a multiple world champion in grappling (kind of combat sports - prim.TASS) and the winner of the World Championship in jiu-jitsu.
In mixed martial arts Monson participates since 1997. During this time he spent in the ring 66 fights, winning 49 victories and suffered 17 defeats.
American is also a master of psychology and worked for several years in the profession, specializing in family and children's issues.
